I checked the owner's manual for the Furrion MPPT Solar Charge Controller part # FSCC60PWBBL and it does state that you must hook the controller up to the battery first before hooking up the solar panels therefore yes, you need to unhook the solar panels when switching batteries. view full answer...
Your best option would be to mount the Furrion side marker cameras # FCE48TASL either above or below the current marker lights, and power them off of the same circuit. The cameras only pull .25 amps each or .5 amps each with the infrared on, so you can easily power them with the wiring you already have in place.
